Brawn & Brains has been my solace for months now. After dearest husband moved out west for work, I’ve been doing the drive to drop him off and then stopping by at Brawn & Brains on my way home for coffee and a Pulla (cinnamon roll).

I love their interior. Stark, concrete floors with metal chairs and wood top tables. The coffee is amazing. Def one of my faves which is probly why i am there so often. But don’t forget the Pulla!

I love walking in there, one of the first usually. They greet me by name and a bit of a smile as if to say we knew you’d be here today.

The soft scent of baked goods is in the air and then the hit of coffee aroma. Single origin and house blend is available here and the owner, a gorgeous woman, soft spoken but such a lovely presence at the cafe.

They have 2 of my fave baked treats here. I can barely choose which one to have each day. And to be honest, sometimes i get them both! Shhhh.

Salted caramel swirl and their Pulla. No matter how crappy a mood I’m in, they always make me smile. I swear my Instagram feed is a homage to these treats.

Salted caramel is scrumptious sweet and salty with little crunchy bits here and there. Pulla is a soft pillow of dough with perfect amount of cinnamon spice.

Paired with a latte or flat white, i couldn’t be happier!
